The Acting International Paris Screenwriting Festival (AIPSF) is an innovative competition celebrating outstanding screenwriting talent for short films. In this unique festival, emerging and established screenwriters are invited to submit their original short film scripts for a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity: having their work fully produced in Paris by Acting International in collaboration with its students and alumni.

The winning script is transformed into a short film, providing unparalleled exposure and a direct pathway into the film festival circuit. This hands-on experience not only brings your script to life but also offers invaluable insights into the collaborative art of filmmaking. It’s an exceptional chance to see your story produced against the stunning backdrop of Paris, while also engaging the creative talents of a vibrant community of students and alumni.

OFFICIAL SELECTION:
Every entry selected becomes part of the Official Selection, earning a Laurel and qualifying for the annual competition.

FINALIST:
A shortlist of entries is chosen from the Official Selection to advance to the next stage of evaluation.

WINNER:
The winning script is honored with an Award Certificate and Laurel. It will be fully produced in Paris by Acting International, in collaboration with its students and alumni.

PRODUCTION, LIVE SCREENING & FESTIVAL SUBMISSIONS:
The produced short film will be showcased in a live screening in Paris before an audience and subsequently submitted to various film festivals, providing outstanding exposure for the winner's work. Acting International retains full creative control over the production, including the appointment of the Director and Cast from our student/alumni body. The screenwriter's presence on set is not required or provided for.

Script Requirements:
Write an original script with a runtime of 5 to 15 minutes.
We accept short features of any genre.

Language:
The script must be written in English or French.
The finished film will be produced in French with English subtitles, unless otherwise specified in a specific production.

Setting:
The script's setting does not have to be Paris; however, it must be doable in Paris. If you wish to adapt your existing work and take advantage of your story being produced against the stunning backdrop of Paris streets, this is your chance.

Multiple Entries:
Multiple entries from the same submitter are accepted. Each entry must be submitted separately and accompanied by its own entry fee.

Copyright & Rights Ownership:
By submitting your project to AIPSF, you confirm that you own the rights to the work submitted.
The Festival is not responsible for any copyright violations.

Award Certificates:
Winners will receive an official award certificate by email.

Entry Fees:
All entry fees are non-refundable.

Production:
Selected scriptwriters will receive the finished film for their own use and further recognition.
