Cambridge Short Film Festival is an international celebration of short-form cinema, dedicated to discovering and promoting bold, original voices from around the world. Whether you're a seasoned director or a first-time filmmaker, our festival offers an inclusive and inspiring platform to share your story.
Now preparing for its third edition on July 11, 2026, the festival is hosted at the iconic Cambridge Junction, a dynamic arts venue where creativity and community meet. This one-of-a-kind space reflects the spirit of our event: independent, artistic, and deeply rooted in the power of human connection through film.
Our mission is simple but powerful: to highlight exceptional short films, connect filmmakers with audiences and peers, and provide meaningful exposure that supports each artist’s next step, be it creative, professional, or personal. We proudly welcome submissions from all backgrounds, styles, and levels of experience.

WHY CAMBRIDGE?
Cambridge is a city of inspiration a place where history, intellect, and imagination coexist. It is here, in this vibrant cultural landscape, that the Cambridge Short Film Festival was born and continues to grow.
VENUE
We are hosted at Cambridge Junction, a venue that has been the "welcoming home of original arts" since 1990. Aligning with the Junction’s mission to create radical and engaging shared experiences, CSFF is more than a screening - it is a social enterprise dedicated to removing barriers for independent creators. Whether you are a first-time director or an industry veteran, we provide a high-visibility stage in one of the UK’s most intellectually vibrant cities.
