A single sentence on the GardenCity International Film Festival website stopped me in my tracks: “We want to be a festival that touches audiences.” In that very moment, I knew I had to submit my short documentary, “Open Your Heart” — because its title is not just a name, but a promise, and its essence is an invitation to feel.

I am truly moved that this promise found its way to the hearts of both the jury and the viewers. It is a profound gift to know that a story can bridge the distance between strangers and leave a quiet echo in their souls.

I am endlessly grateful that platforms like GardenCity exist — sanctuaries where cinema ceases to be mere spectacle and becomes a shared, emotional journey.

My heartfelt thanks go to the entire team, and most notably to Festival Director Aman Mehra, whose unwavering responsiveness and guidance turned the submission process not into a hurdle, but into a pure pleasure.

Right now, I am already immersed in a new film. My ambition remains unchanged: to reach out, to stir, to move once more. And when it is ready, I will eagerly send it back to GardenCity — because some connections are too meaningful to let go.
