- For both the finalists and the ultimate victor, the recognition of their remarkable accomplishments, symbolised through certificates and laurels.

- A distinguished official laurel conferred upon all films that earn the privilege of selection.

- As the pinnacle of distinction, the Best Film Winner (annually event) will be granted an exclusive, featured interview, acknowledging their significant contribution to the world of cinema.

Rules & Terms

We graciously accept submissions exclusively through FilmFreeway, and we uphold a set of guidelines and principles:

1. To be considered for competition, it is requisite to submit your entry in at least one of our Main Categories, and you are welcome to submit your work in multiple categories if desired.

2. Eligible films must have been produced after January 1, 2000.

3. We maintain an open-minded approach to themes, genres, and creators, and extend our consideration to films in any language, from every corner of the world. For non-English films, the provision of English subtitles where necessary is mandatory.

4. For those seeking student fees (available for individuals under 18 only), it is imperative to provide evidence of your student status, such as a copy of your student card, as an inclusion within your project.

5. By submitting your film to us, you grant Silverlens Film Awards the right to utilize excerpts of your work, which may encompass trailers, teasers, and film posters, for promotional purposes. Additionally, we request a concise synopsis and a digital still photograph accompanying all entries (excepting music videos), both for the jury's review and for potential announcement on our website in the event of your triumph.

6. It is important to note that entry fees are non-refundable.

7. Each film undergoes careful evaluation by at least two distinct panels of judges. If your film is hosted on Vimeo, you can monitor the viewership via Vimeo's tracking feature. However, please be aware that there have been instances of incomplete or incorrect viewership records, including for certain films that were ultimately accepted. Regrettably, this tracking mechanism is not infallible.

8. You are welcome to submit as many entries as you see fit, and each entry necessitates its own entry fee. If you wish to submit your entry to one or more sub-categories, the initial step is to submit it to at least one of our main categories.

9. Notably, we showcase reviews and interviews on our Festival website, which you may incorporate into your Press Kit.

10. Filmmakers bear the responsibility of obtaining all required clearances for exhibition, and they must affirm the originality of their work while declaring the absence of any disputes concerning ownership related to the film.
