Rain Rain Film Festival

Điều Kiện Chung của edition đầu tiên (2024):

1. Phải nộp qua filmfreeway.com
2. Phim phải của đạo diễn Việt (hoặc gốc Việt) hoặc đạo diễn nước ngoài thì ngôn ngữ thoại chính của phim là Tiếng Việt (>80%).
3. Phim phải được sản xuất từ 2022-nay.
4. Hiện tại Rain Rain chỉ chấp nhận phim truyện (narrative) hoặc phim tài liệu (không chấp nhận phim thử nghiệm hay các mạng xã hội như tiktok)
5. Nếu không phải tiếng Việt thì phải có phụ đề Việt.
6. Người nộp phim cũng phải là sở hữu (director hay producer) và có permission cho những yếu tố âm hình trong phim nếu bạn lấy của bên thứ ba (nhạc, âm thanh, v.v..)
7. Nếu được chọn chiếu, Rain Rain có thể sử dụng các media như hình ảnh (still) hay một clip nhỏ từ phim cho việc marketing của Rain Rain trong tương lai.
8. Sau khi được chọn chiếu, nhà làm phim sẽ cung cấp cho Rain Rain một bản copy kĩ thuật số cho việc trình chiếu, Rain Rain có thể lưu trữ phim này sau festival. Rain Rain chỉ có thể chiếu nó lần nữa khi có đồng ý của nhà làm phim.

Festival thích sự minh bạch nên sẽ đưa các bạn những tiêu chí chọn phim của festival:
- Phim được các bạn chấm phim của Rain Rain yêu thích.
- Đã có online hay phân phối?
- Phim làm gần đây?
- Thời lượng phim.
- Tính chất Premiere – phim càng chưa chiếu ở đâu thì Rain Rain sẽ ưu tiên. Nhất: International Premiere (ra mắt đầu tiên trên thế giới) -> Nhì: Asian Premiere (ra mắt lần đầu ở châu Á) -> Ba: Vietnam's Premiere (ra mắt lần đầu ở VN) -> Tư: Saigon Premiere (ra mắt lần đầu ở Sài Gòn).
- Tính chất controversial của nó (tính chất nhạy cảm -> thúc đẩy ngôn luận)
- Đạo diễn có tiềm năng tiếp tục làm các phim hay khác hay không trong tương lai?
- Độ độc đáo của phim.
- Tính giải trí của phim.

General Conditions for the first edition (2024):

1. Submissions must be made through filmfreeway.com.
2. Films must be directed by a Vietnamese filmmaker (or of Vietnamese origin), or if directed by a foreign filmmaker, the primary spoken language of the film must be Vietnamese (>80%).
3. Films must have been produced from 2022 onwards.
4. Currently, Rain Rain only accepts narrative films or documentaries (experimental films or social media content like TikTok are not accepted).
5. If the film is not in Vietnamese, it must have Vietnamese subtitles.
6. Film submitters must also be the rights owners (director or producer) and have permission for all audiovisual elements in the film if obtained from third parties (music, sound, etc.).
7. If selected for screening, Rain Rain may use media such as still images or a small clip from the film for Rain Rain's future marketing purposes.
8. After being selected for screening, filmmakers must provide Rain Rain with a digital copy for exhibition purposes. Rain Rain may retain this copy after the festival. Rain Rain can only screen it again with the filmmaker's consent.

The festival values transparency and will provide you with the selection criteria:

- Films that resonate with Rain Rain's film reviewers.
- Has it been screened online or distributed before?
- Is the film recent?
- Film duration.
- Premiere status – The more exclusive the premiere, the higher Rain Rain's priority: First: -International Premiere (world premiere) -> Second: Asian Premiere (first in Asia) -> Third: Vietnam's Premiere (first in Vietnam) -> Fourth: Saigon Premiere (first in Saigon).
- Controversial nature (topics that promote discussion).
- Does the director have the potential to create more outstanding films in the future?
- Uniqueness of the film.
- Entertainment value of the film.
