Regardless of race, gender, or sexual orientation, we want to hear your stories and perspective.

Awards & Prizes

Awards are bragging rights and to expand an audience and interest in your film.

Award titles exist for the following categories:
- Best In Show
- Best Micro-film (Best Film 3 minutes or less)
- Best Short Film (Best FIlm up to 60 minutes)
- Best Feature Film (Best Film up to 240 minutes)
- Emerging Artist (Best Film by a new artist)
- Best Young Artist (Best Filmmaker 25 Years of age or less)
- Best Student Filmmaker (Best College or High School film, School ID required in project files)
- Top Female Filmmaker (Top artist / film from a filmmaker identifying as female)
- Short Staffed (Best Film Done with 10 or less people on cast and crew)
- Pocket Change (Best Low Budget Film $1,000 USD or less)
- Best Script in Show
- Wonderful and Strange Script (Best Script that highlights controversial topics and under represented views)
- Social Awareness (Best Film covering a topic of social awareness)
- Best Acting (Best Acting for anyone, regardless of identifying gender)
- Honorable Mentions

Rules & Terms

- Submissions: All films must be submitted via FilmFreeway with access to download from where ever the project has been uploaded to.

- Submissions must be made by someone considered an under represented voice or have a story focus around those groups. I.E. Women, suppressed races, LGBTQIA+, etc.

- Participants may submit into multiple categories, one submission per category.

- Entries must have been completed (post-production) between January 1, 2019 and May 2024 to be eligible.

- Screenplays can be from any year. Please reach out to us via email at underappreciatedfilmfestival@gmail.com if you are looking for someone to produce your screenplay. Our goal is to help promote everyone and their passion projects!

- The Submitter must own the rights to the film or screenplay submitted or have permission from the owner/artist. It is the sole responsibility of the Submitter to secure permission from the rights holders of any and all copyrighted and/or trademarked content or materials included within the film, clear all content within the film from any and all actual or potential legal claims and issues. Walk With Me Productions will not be held responsible for any unauthorized inclusion of any copyrighted and/or trademarked content.

- All fees are non-refundable.

- Any film that is not in English must have English subtitles.

- Screenplays must be in English.

Walk With Me Productions operates a diversity and inclusion policy, judging content, without bias, including gender, sexuality, race and religion.

Walk With Me Productions can consider any film or screenplay to be disqualified if the festival considers the content inappropriate.

- By submitting an entry, the applicant accepts Walk With Me Productions' Rules and Terms.
- By submitting an entry, the applicant understands Walk With Me Productions is not liable for any contradictions that may arise in agreements with other festivals you have submitted your work to.
- By submitting an entry, you authorize Walk With Me Productions to distribute and share the film poster, trailer, synopsis and movie stills on our social media.
