The Bridge Student Film Festival aims to celebrate short fiction and documentary films made by students at universities, colleges, and high schools in Massachusetts and Rhode Island.

Our festival offers free submission for all student filmmakers and free attendance to our screenings.

As part of our mission, we strive to:

• Spotlight diverse films by student filmmakers in Massachusetts and Rhode Island
• Uplift and inspire emerging filmmakers to grow with their craft
• Provide opportunities for student filmmakers to gain insight about the film industry
• Foster connections among film students from public institutions across the region
• Deliver an educational and enjoyable experience for all attendees

Taking place in the Moakley Auditorium at Bridgewater State University (BSU) in Bridgewater, Massachusetts, the festival will include an in-person screening on December 4, 2024, in addition to the option to screen your film on our website for one week from December 4-10, 2024.

The festival is overseen by Festival Director Dr. Michele Meek, Associate Professor of Communication at Bridgewater State University, and the festival is a collaborative effort of the Film Festival Production course in BSU's Communication department.
