CATCH THE MOON - International Children & Youth Animated Film Festival is the first festival of this kind in Campania. The project is structured in different activities concerning the education of pupils and teachers and the promotion and spread of animation films for children and youths. It is realised by the association Gioco Immagine e Parole in partnership with Cineteca Milano. Initiative carried out as part of the National Plan for Cinema and Images for Schools promoted by MiC and MI.

CATCH THE MOON AWARDS recipients are chosen by a jury of professional filmmakers, illustrators, cartoonist, distributors and journalists. The awards are:
Best Animated Short Film for Children (+7)
Best Animated Short Film for Children (+11)

AUDIENCE AWARDS are determined by a youth jury, made of students of all levels. The awards are:
Best Animated Short Film for Children Audience Award (+7)
Best Animated Short Film for Children Audience Award (+11)

Animated films must have been made after January 2024.
The duration must not exceed 20 minutes.
All movies must be subtitled in Italian.
The material must be submitted in 1080p, MP4 or MOV H.264 digital formats.
Files must be sent via file sharing websites (eg dropbox, wetransfer, 4shared, etc ..).
All material sent will remain in the historical archive of the festival.
The notification of the selected works will be made one month after the start of the event via email and on the festival website.
The Registration Form must accompany each individual request to participate.
The decisions of the selection committee and the jury are final.
Film producers must agree to include in future promotions of the material the mention of participation in Catch the moon - an animation film festival for children and young people, the relative section and the awards obtained, including the official CATCH THE MOON logo.
