CATCH THE MOON - International Children & Youth Animated Film Festival is the first festival of this kind in Campania. The project is structured in different activities concerning the education of pupils and teachers and the promotion and spread of animation films for children and youths. It is realised by the association Gioco Immagine e parole in partnership with the association Atalante, organiser of Imaginaria, one of the most important festival in this field at the national and international level. Initiative carried out as part of the National Plan for Cinema and Images for Schools promoted by MiC and MI.

CATCH THE MOON – International Children & Youth Animated Film Festival è il primo festival di settore della Campania. Un progetto di formazione, promozione e diffusione del cinema d’animazione per bambini e ragazzi, realizzato dall’associazione Gioco Immagine e parole in partenariato con l’associazione Atalante, organizzatrice di Imaginaria, uno dei più importanti festival di settore a livello nazionale ed internazionale. Iniziativa realizzata nell'ambito del Piano Nazionale Cinema e Immagini per la Scuola promosso da MiC e MI.

Awards & Prizes

CATCH THE MOON AWARD recipients are determined by a jury of professional filmmakers, illustrators, cartoonist, distributors and journalists.
AUDIENCE AWARD is determined by youngsters Jury.
The prizes and special mentions for international competition:
Best Animated Short Film for Kids
Best Animated Short Film for kids (student)
Best Animated Short Film for kids (Audience Award)

Furthermore, at the unquestionable decision of the organization, 10 films will be selected that will be visible for one year on the video content platform of the San Carlo Theater in Naples.

I vincitori dei premi sono stabiliti da una giuria composta da professionisti del settore, produttori, attori, registi, distributori, agenti e giornalisti.
l’AUDIENCE AWARD è determinato dai voti della giuria dei ragazzi.
INTERNATIONAL AWARDS
Saranno assegnati i seguenti premi:
– Best Animated Short film for Kids
– Best Animated Short Film (student film competition)
– Young Audience Award

Inoltre, su insindacabile decisione dell'organizzazione, saranno selezionati 10 film che saranno visibili per un anno sulla piattaforma di contenuti video del Teatro San Carlo di Napoli.

Rules & Terms

Animated films must have been made after January 2020.
The duration must not exceed 20 minutes.
Films in dialectal language must be subtitled in Italian.
The material must be submitted in 1080p, MP4 or MOV H.264 digital formats.
Files must be sent via file sharing websites (eg dropbox, wetransfer, 4shared, etc ..).
All material sent will not be returned and will remain in the historical archive of the festival.
The notification of the selected works will be made one month after the start of the event via email and on the festival website.
The Registration Form must accompany each individual request to participate.
The decisions of the selection committee and the jury are final.
Film producers must agree to include in future promotions of the material the mention of participation in Catch the moon - an animation film festival for children and young people, the relative section and the awards obtained, including the official CATCH THE MOON logo.

I film d’animazione devono essere stati realizzati dopo il mese di gennaio 2020.
La durata non deve superare i 20 minuti.
I film in lingua dialettale devono essere sottotitolati in italiano.
Il materiale deve pervenire in formati digitali 1080p, MP4 o MOV H.264.
I files devono essere inviati tramite i siti web di file sharing (eg dropbox, wetransfer, 4shared, etc..).
Tutto il materiale inviato non sarà restituito e resterà nell’archivio storico del festival.
La notifica delle opere selezionate verrà effettuata a un mese dall’inizio dell’evento via mail e sul sito del festival.
Il Modulo d’Iscrizione deve accompagnare ogni singola richiesta di partecipazione.
Le decisioni del comitato di selezione e della giuria sono insindacabili.
I produttori cinematografici devono accettare di includere in future promozioni del materiale la menzione di partecipazione ad Catch the moon – festival del cinema d’animazione per bambini e ragazzi la sezione relativa e i premi conseguiti, incluso il logo ufficiale del CATCH THE MOON.
