BEYOND FILM FESTIVAL

GUIDELINES

BEYOND only accepts the registration of a project if the applicant is the owner of all rights of use. BEYOND reserves the right to request a corresponding proof of rights and to refuse the application in case of absence. The artists assure the organizers that all image and sound rights lie with the artist. In addition, BEYOND reserves the right to save a digital copy of each participating work in its internal archive and to use it in future as part of the BEYOND festival. This includes publications, public relations, advertisements and the posting of images on the Internet (websites of BEYOND-Festival and other Internet portals).

Participation in the Festival implies the unconditional acceptance of all provisions in these Guidelines. Producers, distributors or other persons or organizations registering for a film must make sure that third parties involved in the production are in agreement with their participation in the festival.

-Exempt of Shipping Costs-

The participant exempts BEYOND from all claims of third parties, in particular third party authors, which should be charged against BEYOND. Also, the participant exempts BEYOND of all eventual costs of shipping or delivering the final works, whatever form they have. This includes costs for data carriers for DCPs such as hard drives, USB Sticks and all other means of data carriers.

-DCP & Subtitles-

Participation in the festival is only possible, if a working DCP (Digital Cinema Package) of the final Film is provided by the artist. Unfortunately, it is not possible for BEYOND to generate DCPs from any other format. Please also refrain from entering, if the film work does not have german subtitles, if the spoken language is any other than german.

-Rules-

All selected works will be included in the program. No project may be withdrawn from the program of the festival after its participation has been published.
No license fees will be paid for films participating at the festival.

The artist agrees to the terms and conditions of the tender by registering.

Participating in the festival with a film means that all the rules of the festival have been read and approved.

RELEASE:

BEYOND is hereby granted the right to utilize an excerpt from any film submitted and accepted for exhibition at the Festival for promotional purposes. The individual or corporation submitting the film hereby warrants that it is authorized to commit the film for screening, and understands and accepts these requirements and regulations. The undersigned shall indemnify and hold harmless BEYOND from and against any and all claims, liabilities, losses, damages, and expenses (including but not limited to attorney's fees, and costs of the court) which may be incurred by reason of any claim involving copyright, trademark, credits, publicity, screening, and loss of or damage to the screening videos entered.

-Data-

Submitters hereby consent to the BEYOND Film Festival and its carrier organization Future Design Institute e.V. processing the personal data that is transmitted as part of the application for all purposes concerning the festival operation. Submitters confirm that they have the right to make the contact details of third parties available for this purpose. Submitters can revoke this consent at any time but will therefore be disqualified from the festival.

RICHTLINIEN

BEYOND akzeptiert die Anmeldung eines Projekts nur, wenn die/der Anmeldende Inhaber sämtlicher Nutzungsrechte am Werk ist. BEYOND behält sich vor, einen entsprechenden Rechtenachweis zu verlangen und bei Fehlen die Anmeldung zurückzuweisen. Die KünstlerInnen versichern den Veranstaltern, dass alle Bild- und Tonrechte bei dem/bei der KünstlerIn liegen. Des Weiteren behält BEYOND sich vor, eine digitale Kopie von jedem teilnehmenden Werk in ihrem internen Archiv zu speichern und diese zukünftig im Rahmen des BEYOND-Festivals zu verwenden. Dies beinhaltet Publikationen, Pressearbeit, Anzeigenschaltungen und das Einstellen von Abbildungen ins Internet (Websites des BEYOND-Festival und bei weiteren Internetportalen).

Die Teilnahme am Festival bedeutet die bedingungslose Anerkennung aller Bestimmungen in diesen Richtlinien. Produzenten, Verleiher oder sonstige Personen oder Organisationen, die einen Film anmelden, haben sich gegenüber dritten Personen, die an der Produktion beteiligt waren, zu vergewissern, dass diese mit einer Teilnahme am Festival einverstanden sind. Der/Die TeilnehmerIn stellt BEYOND von sämtlichen Ansprüchen Dritter, insbesondere Dritter Urheber, die gegen BEYOND erhoben werden sollten, frei.

-Freistellung von Lieferkosten-

Außerdem stellt die/der Einreichende BEYOND von allen eventuell anfallenden Kosten für die Verschiffung, den Versand und die Lieferung der finalen Werke in jeglicher Form frei, dies schließt auch die Kosten für Datenträger für DCPs wie Festplatten, USB-Sticks o.ä. ein.

-DCP und Untertitel-

Die Teilnahme am Festival ist nur möglich, wenn ein funktionierendes DCP (Digital Cinema Package) des finalen Films vom Künstler vorliegt. Leider ist es dem BEYOND Festival nicht möglich DCPs aus anderen Formaten zu generieren. Bitte sehen Sie auch davon ab, Filme einzureichen, die keine deutschen Untertitel enthalten, sofern die gesprochene Sprache nicht Deutsch ist.

-Regeln-

Alle ausgewählten Arbeiten werden in das Programm aufgenommen. Kein Projekt darf aus dem Programm des Festivals zurückgezogen werden, nachdem seine Teilnahme veröffentlicht wurde.
Für Filme, die am Festival teilnehmen, werden keine Leihmieten gezahlt.

Der/die KünstlerIn erklärt sich mit den Ausschreibungsbedingungen durch die Anmeldung einverstanden.

Mit einem Film am Festival teilzunehmen bedeutet, dass alle Regeln des Festivals gelesen und zugestimmt wurden.

Sie stimmen bei der Einreichung damit überein, in unseren Newsletter aufgenommen zu werden. Dies können Sie jederzeit widerrufen.

RELEASE:

BEYOND wird hiermit das Recht eingeräumt, einen Ausschnitt aus einem Film, der zur Vorführung auf dem Festival eingereicht und angenommen wurde, für Werbezwecke zu verwenden. Die Person oder Firma, die den Film einreicht, garantiert hiermit, dass sie berechtigt ist, den Film zur Vorführung zu verpflichten, und versteht und akzeptiert diese Anforderungen und Bestimmungen. Die/Der Unterzeichnende stellt BEYOND von sämtlichen Ansprüchen, Haftungen, Verlusten, Schäden und Aufwendungen frei, die sich aus urheberrechtlichen Ansprüchen ergeben (einschließlich, aber nicht beschränkt auf Anwaltskosten und Gerichtskosten), Warenzeichen, Credits, Werbung, Screening sowie Verlust oder Beschädigung der eingereichten Screening-Videos.

-Daten-

Die/Der Einreichende erklärt sich hiermit einverstanden, dem BEYOND Film Festival und seiner Trägerorganisation Future Design Institute e.V. die Verarbeitung der personenbezogenen Daten, die im Rahmen des Antrags übermittelt werden, für alle Zwecke des Festivalbetriebs einzuräumen. Einreichende bestätigen, dass sie das Recht haben, die Kontaktdaten Dritter zu diesem Zweck zur Verfügung zu stellen. Einreichende können diese Einwilligung jederzeit widerrufen, werden dadurch jedoch vom Festival ausgeschlossen.
