The Town already lives to the rhythm of artists and creative minds, coming to Yucca Valley in search of the perfect spot to create and find a receptive audience.

The festival started in 2019, generating a buzz with local audiences (3 packed screening nights with red carpet), attracting attendance by international talented filmmakers, and benefiting from a large press coverage.

YVFF is a gem. It's intimate and community centered. The audiences were so engaged. Our film MILK BABY also won the Best Short Award. Thank you Matt, Auregan and all the staff and volunteers!

My favorite thing about YVFF was the casual and intimate environment that allowed me to chat and hang out with not just filmmakers, but local community members as well. I didn't expect to leave the desert with the connections I made, and I'm grateful for the memories. Thank you Matt, Auregan, and the YVFF volunteers for all your hard work organizing!

I am a drone cinematographer and entered the drone category, first year at the fest for me. I had no idea what to expect but was pleasantly surprised by how done up it was and how kind the owners are. I enjoyed it so much I extended my trip to stay the whole festival!

A grass roots festival a stone's throw from Los Angeles the Yucca Valley film festival was such a warm and inviting event. The community came out in spades to support and it felt great showing my film to a room full of people who weren't just there waiting to see their own film, but who themselves had an appreciation for movies as a whole.

I had a truly great experience at the festival. It was inspiring to meet so many filmmakers from different backgrounds and hear about their work. Having the chance to watch such a wide range of filmsβ€”each with its own voice and styleβ€”was a real highlight for me. The festival atmosphere was warm, welcoming, and full of creative energy. I’m grateful for the opportunity to be part of it and look forward to coming back in the future.
