Appendix: Screening Policy and Event Structure

In order to preserve the unique identity of Onirica Film Festival and to ensure that every selected author receives the most meaningful visibility and recognition within the context of the Award Ceremony, the Festival Direction establishes the following principle:

- Partial Screenings of Selected Works

The Festival reserves the right, at its sole and unquestionable discretion, to project films either in their entirety or in partial form, depending on the duration of the work and the overall program schedule of the event. This applies equally to all selected participants, including award winners. Selection and/or award attribution does not automatically entail the full screening of the work during the ceremony.
This policy is based on the following considerations:

- Ceremonial Nature of the Event

The Onirica Film Festival is, first and foremost, an awards giving evening. Its primary purpose is to recognize, reward, and promote the participating artists, not to act as a marathon of full-length screenings. The ceremony is designed as a celebratory moment, in which cinema meets the audience in a dynamic, engaging, and accessible format.

- Time Constraints and Inclusivity

Given the high number of selected works and awardees, it is structurally impossible to screen all films in full length within the limited time of a single evening. Works often exceed conventional durations, and the Festival must balance the presentation of multiple voices, ensuring that each has a space for recognition. Condensed or partial screenings allow for a greater inclusivity of participants, avoiding the exclusion of shorter works or less prominent categories.

- Ethical Responsibility Towards the Audience

This clause ensures fairness, consistency, and operational clarity, protecting the Festival from disputes or misunderstandings.
In conclusion, the Onirica Film Festival affirms that:
Every selection and award is an act of recognition and promotion of the artist’s vision.
Full-length screenings are not guaranteed within the Award Ceremony.
Partial screenings are a legitimate, ethical, and necessary tool to create a vibrant, inclusive, and celebratory evening that aligns with the Festival’s mission.
The Direction retains full authority to define the duration, format, and excerpts of each work presented during the ceremony.

Benvenuti all’Onirica Film Festival: un’esperienza cinematografica radicale, sensibile e visionaria.
Non un semplice concorso, ma un luogo reale, un crocevia di mondi interiori ed estetiche esterne, dove cinema, arte, natura e pensiero critico si incontrano per generare nuove forme di percezione. OFF nasce con una vocazione precisa: selezionare, accogliere e celebrare opere capaci di espandere l'immaginazione collettiva, travalicando i confini dei generi per abbracciare la complessità del presente e l’intensità del possibile.

Onirica non è solo un riferimento al sogno, ma una postura artistica e intellettuale.
Un modo per interrogare la realtà a partire dai suoi margini: l’inconscio, il simbolico, il surreale, il poetico, l’astratto, il profetico. La nostra forza è il contesto: il festival si svolge in una cornice reale e tangibile, dove ogni film proiettato genera un incontro diretto tra chi ha creato e chi guarda.
Crediamo nel valore del contatto umano e della condivisione fisica dello spazio come elementi imprescindibili della fruizione artistica. Appendice: Politica di Proiezione e Struttura dell’Evento

Al fine di preservare l’identità unica dell’Onirica Film Festival e garantire a ogni autore selezionato la più significativa visibilità e riconoscibilità all’interno della Cerimonia di Premiazione, la Direzione del Festival stabilisce il seguente principio:

- Proiezione Parziale delle Opere Selezionate

Il Festival si riserva il diritto, a propria insindacabile discrezione, di proiettare le opere cinematografiche sia integralmente che in forma parziale, a seconda della durata del lavoro e della programmazione complessiva dell’evento. Tale disposizione si applica indistintamente a tutti i partecipanti selezionati, compresi i vincitori di premio. La selezione o l’attribuzione di un riconoscimento non comportano automaticamente la proiezione integrale dell’opera durante la serata.
Questa politica si fonda sulle seguenti motivazioni:

- Natura Cerimoniale dell’Evento

L’Onirica Film Festival è, innanzitutto, una serata di premiazione. Lo scopo primario è quello di riconoscere, valorizzare e promuovere gli artisti partecipanti, non di configurarsi come una maratona di proiezioni integrali. Considerato l’alto numero di opere selezionate e premiate, risulta strutturalmente impossibile proiettare tutte le opere nella loro interezza all’interno della durata limitata di una singola serata. Molti lavori superano le durate convenzionali, e il Festival ha la responsabilità di bilanciare la presentazione di più voci, garantendo a ciascuna uno spazio di riconoscimento. Le proiezioni parziali consentono una maggiore inclusività, evitando l’esclusione di opere più brevi o di categorie differenti.

Questa pratica risponde alla filosofia del Festival: dare priorità all’intensità della visione rispetto alla durata, e creare risonanza tra le opere attraverso giustapposizione e ritmo.

- Trasparenza Legale e Organizzativa

Con la propria partecipazione al Festival, gli autori riconoscono e accettano che la modalità di proiezione (integrale o parziale) sia definita esclusivamente dalla Direzione, al fine di garantire qualità, coerenza e sostenibilità della cerimonia. Tale clausola assicura chiarezza, equità e tutela da potenziali contestazioni o incomprensioni.
In conclusione, l’Onirica Film Festival afferma che:
Ogni selezione e premio è un atto di riconoscimento e promozione della visione dell’autore.
La proiezione integrale delle opere non è garantita durante la Cerimonia di Premiazione.
