Thessaloniki Cinedance International

- Works must be accompanied by high resolution stills and a poster in portrait orientation.
- Maximum 35 minutes duration (please ask for the possibility of longer works). Also, please select the appropriate category: <= 12min or 12-40min.
- Durations refer to the full duration of the file, including all credits.
- If selected, the film must be sent as a h264/h265 file at 25Mbps max, in a Quicktime or .mp4 container. Detailed specs will be communicated.
- All dialogue or voice-overs in any language MUST be accompanied by a English subtitle file in the srt format. The festival will use these to produce subtitles in Greek.
- Once submitted, the film cannot be withdrawn.
- Premiere status is not required, but films must not be publicly available on the internet.
- It is possible for films to be selected for the brick-and-mortar screenings only, the online version only, or both. All films are considered part of the official selection, but different criteria apply for the two formats.
- The submitter, producer, or filmmaker MUSRT own all rights to any music used. Any used piece of music that has been published independently in any way must be accompanied by a legal master and sync license by the rights holder (copyright society, distributor, etc).
- The use of original music is strongly encouraged.

The Filmmaker retains all copyright to their work and grants TCI permission to use small abstracts thereof for publicity purposes (e.g. trailer or other promotional video) that may be broadcast or uploaded online. The Filmmaker agrees that their film may be screened at TCI's touring initiatives, including guest TCI segments at other festivals. Selected films will always be notified. Opting out of touring is possible at the time of signing the agreement upon selection, or at any time in the future, given a 30-day notice.

The Filmmaker holds the Thessaloniki Cinedance International and its managing company Die Wolke art group non-profit company, and all people involved in the festival’s organisation, selection, and promotion process harmless from any and all claims of liability resulting from entry. The Filmmaker certifies to have all pertinent rights and clearances, including, but not limited to, the right to use and sync any music used and the license to use and/or modify images under copyright and agrees to provide proof of licensing on request. The Filmmaker understands that the inclusion of the film to the festival in either the brick-and-mortar or online screenings is conditional on the accuracy and timeliness of supplied copyright information. The Filmmaker will indemnify the organisers of the Festival against all claims, demands, costs, damages, expenses (including legal fees), proceedings and losses resulting from the screening of the film at the Festival or from claims by any third parties. The Filmmaker is understood to indicate either the person or production company that is responsible for the distribution of the work and is liable for any copyright infringement.

By applying to the festival, the Filmmaker unequivocally accepts all above conditions.
