OFF is presented as part of the ORIGINS GAME FAIR™ (http://www.originsgamefair.com), one of the nation’s largest tabletop gaming conventions. Origins Game Fair features over 4,500 events and games of every variety: tabletop games, miniatures games, roleplaying games, LARPs, traditional games, collectible card games, and even poker.

OGF is run by the Game Manufacturer’s Association (GAMA) and held at the Greater Columbus Convention Center in Columbus, OH.

Awards will be given for:
BEST FEATURE
BEST SHORT
BEST GAMING FILM
BEST SCI-FI FILM
BEST FANTASY FILM

All filmmakers entered by the Regular Deadline and selected for the festival will be granted two full-access badges to the Origins Game Fair, which offers over 4,500 events, including games, seminars, crafting, costume contest, and more. Winners of the above awards will also receive two full show passes each for next year’s Game Fair!

All films must have been completed after January 1, 2016. Feature films must be at least 60 minutes and short films must be 30 minutes or under, including credits. All non-English language films must have English subtitles, and we strongly encourage everyone to submit subtitle files along with their final films.

All films must be finished, original works, and the filmmaker is responsible for obtaining any necessary permissions for use of trademarks, copyrights or any other properties (including, but not limited to logos, images, characters or music) in their film. All submissions should include a high resolution poster-type image - suitable for printing and display at the festival.

Only digital entries with an online screener available through FilmFreeway will be accepted for submission.

All entries must be received by Sunday, February 15th, 2026 to be eligible.

Employees of the Gaming Manufacturer’s Association (GAMA) and their immediate families are excluded from competition, but films may be considered for exhibition-only screenings.

  • I couldn't attend, but from what I can tell this is a good film festival. I know it must be difficult to organize a film festival. I wish ORIGINS film festival the best with their future film festivals. Thanks for selecting OREGONDA.

  • Thanks for selecting "Bay For Blood" into your festival! I couldn't attend the event in person, but was really impressed with the frequent and detailed communication and really appreciate the fact that there was an online stream to view the films, which I really enjoyed. I had a very good experience overall, and will definitely be submitting future projects to Origins Film Festival.

Sadly, we could not make it to the festival this year. I, in particular, really wanted to be there but it just wasn't possible. The administrators of this festival have been incredibly communicative, helpful, and kind. They virtually bent over backwards to make sure everything was set for a great screening down to the last minute. Based on that alone I am now even more excited to attend in the future even if we don't have a project in it at the time. .
