The Wildwood Film Festival is dedicated to fostering Wisconsin film talent. We give film makers a place to exhibit their work and serve the public with workshops and educational experiences. Over our history we have programmed more than 500 short films and a handful of feature length films.

If you were ever part of this great place we call Wisconsin, we would love to have you submit a film. Wisconsin has been and still is home to some wonderfully creative people and we would love to have you showcase your work with us.

"Celebrating Wisconsin Film Talent" for over nineteen years!

Our categories are judged by a panel including college film school educators, writers, cinematographers, and local media.

"Best of" each category is awarded.

We've recognized filmmakers with the "Nate Haben Award" which is given to up-and-coming filmmakers.

Films/film makers must have a connection to the state of Wisconsin to qualify to screen at our event. This is what makes our event unique!

Examples:
- A member of the creative team (writer, director or producer) is a past or present Wisconsin resident.
OR
- Lead actor/actress is a past or present Wisconsin resident
OR
- The film was filmed and/or produced in Wisconsin.

We had a great time watching not only our film and many others, despite the looming pandemic. Watching these films provides plenty of opportunities to learn from one another, as well as the chance to network. Hopefully we can do this again soon!

  • Wildwood is by far my favorite festival and one that every Wisconsin filmmaker should know about; It's a fest where a Wis Filmmaker can be seen and not lost in the mass of submissions that many open to the world festivals have. Besides that, the folks there are great.

  • Great venue and program. For the price to be there you are getting more in return in regards of networking and creative discussion. I left inspired.
