Seattle Asian American Film Festival (SAAFF) is the only film festival in Seattle to provide a space for Asian American voices, perspectives and histories by screening independent films that reflect the diversity and richness of the city’s Asian American community.

SAAFF features works by or about North Americans of Asian descent, with an emphasis on filmmakers from the Pacific Northwest. We accept films of any length and genre that were completed in 2016 or later. The non-refundable fee for entry is $10.00 and films must be submitted for review digitally on Vimeo.com or FilmFreeway's platform.

Currently held at Broadway Performance Hall and Northwest Film Forum in Seattle's Capitol Hill neighborhood, our 6th annual festival is scheduled for February 22-25, 2018!

My short film RADHA was accepted to the 2017 festival. SAAFF truly treats their filmmakers right, I got the VIP experience attending this festival. Their staff worked very hard in marketing, accommodations, programming, etc - everything had a lot of effort put into it. It was a wonderful platform for my film and I'm very thankful to now be a part of the SAAFF family! I highly recommend anyone with a relevant theme apply to this festival. It's truly worth it.

I've attended SAAFF twice, and had a blast and met amazing people each time. The community and hospitality here is the best. SAAFF is an excellent festival to see new API works and make new friends. The audience here is engaged and incredibly supportive. Will return!

Was thrilled to have my short film TAG selected by SAFF. The correspondence was great prior to the festival. You can really tells this film festival is a labor of love for their hard-working staff. Unfortunately, I couldn't attend, but from what I saw across their social media pages it was a great time with an amazing line-up of movies and festival-related activities. I can't wait to submit my next project to SAAF and will definitely make it a point of coming up next time.

It was the warmest Film Festival I have attended so far. Everybody is so generous and helpful. They really take care of the Filmmakers well. And all their screenings are packed. Highly Recommend this.
