HOLLYWOOD INDEPENDENT FILMMAKER AWARDS and FESTIVAL is an IMDb Qualifying independent film competition with a unique opportunity for PR geared toward independent filmmakers worldwide.
Making an independent movie is a challenge and we here at HOLLYWOOD INDEPENDENT FILMMAKER AWARDS and FESTIVAL want to help you put your film on the path to success with all of the recognition, notoriety and accolades you and your film deserve.
As HOLLYWOOD INDEPENDENT FILMMAKER AWARDS and FESTIVAL is committed to showcasing TRULY independent films, we are dedicated to finding those "hidden gems" that may otherwise be overlooked by the bigger festivals because of the lack of name recognition or budget.
In previous years, the HOLLYWOOD INDEPENDENT FILMMAKER AWARDS held live screenings at Paramount Studios in Hollywood, however since the worldwide Corona Virus pandemic, we will now be holding live screenings at a new location in Beverly Hills, California.
The live screening will take place at the Wilshire Screening Room in Beverly Hills, California. We'll have a red carpet and a professional photographer on hand. Each winning filmmaker will have the opportunity to introduce their film and thank their cast and crew before their screening and will be offered a Q & A after their film if desired.
***Please note, not all " Official Selection" films will be chosen for a live screening.
Located in the heart of Hollywood, the judges of HOLLYWOOD INDEPENDENT FILMMAKER AWARDS range from former studio executives and talent managers to award winning independent filmmakers with a combined experience of over 50 years in the entertainment industry.
If your film is selected for an AWARD, you will be notified via email as an "Official Selection" and you will receive an "Official Selection" laurel. Your film will now qualify as a "winning" film on IMDb and your new "WIN" can be added to your IMDb page. You're now and Award Winning Filmmaker!
Each category will have their own set of AWARDS that will be broken down into the sections below:

BEST OF FESTIVAL will be awarded to the ONE chosen project, regardless of category, which HOLLYWOOD INDEPENDENT FILMMAKER AWARDS deems to be the "best of the best" among all of the submissions to the festival.
The "BEST OF FESTIVAL" winner will receive an engraved statuette and an in-depth written interview with the filmmaker that will not only appear on the HOLLYWOOD INDEPENDENT FILMMAKER AWARDS website and blog, but additionally it will be sent out in a WORLDWIDE press release and promoted via our Twitter, Facebook and Instagram pages.
