Believe me when I say I had a fantastic time at the 13th Annual Bill Johnson Black Film Festival. “Intersectionality” was not only a winner but also received a proclamation for being included as an outstanding film in speaking to the needs and responsibilities of helping the youth. We made several guest appearances (WLTH Radio Morning Talk Show, an interview with Chelsie, Bill Johnson Student Film Festival & WGVE Radio). Much thanks to State Representative, Dr. Vernon G Smith & Bill Johnson himself (who personally gave me words of wisdom for future filming projects) for hosting such a wonderful event and making us feel right at home. While attending the festival, I met other filmmakers…Khadijah Karriem and Eddie Kane Baker (Executive Image). I’m currently working on my next film project in hopes of being included in another one of Bill Johnson’s Black Film Festivals.
