I told my friend how when I was a kid I used to pretend David Hasselhoff was my film festival. He's a singer and actor from Earth, really famous guy. Aspiring Minds film festival may not have a talking car, but it does have a Tony Alfaro. It doesn't have the beautiful voice of an angel, but it does have the films of one. Both Aspiring Minds and David Hasselhoff went on kick-a** adventures and hooked up with hot women, and fought robots. I guess David Hasselhoff did kinda end up being my film festival after all, only it was you, Aspiring Minds.

I had a pretty cool film festival. What I'm trying to say here is... sometimes, that thing you're searching for your whole life is right there by your side all along, and you don't even know it.

This is a fun, easy-going festival. It certainly focuses on the student films of Diablo Valley College, but not exclusively so. Independent cinephiles in the Bay Area who are interested the work of new filmmakers would find this a worthwhile event to attend. It's held on campus at the close of each semester (twice a year).
