Fernando Ramos is a Brazilian filmmaker, writer, songwriter and painter. Joined cinema workshops with acclaimed directors like the canadian Atom Egoyan, the phillipino Brillante Mendonza and Brazilian helmers José Mojica Marins (the legendary Coffin Joe), Sergio Ricardo and Frederico Machado. Published cinema essays on the book "The Films We Dream", together with some of Brazil's most influential film critics, and on the extras of the DVD Collection of Sergio Ricardo, both published and distributed by Lume Filmes. Worked as Assistant Director to Frederico Machado on the fiction feature "The Exercise of Chaos" (2013), considered one of the five best Brazilian films coming from such year. Worked as an actor on the highly praised Indian mythological feature road movie "Idhu Vedhalam Sollum Katai" (2019) by Rathindran R. Prasad. His first film, the feature documentary "Awakening City" (2016, 100 minutes) was officially selected by more than 60 international film festivals, gathering both the public and critics acclaim. "Impermanence" (2018, 16 minutes) is his second film, already officially selected by 5 film festivals. Fernando Ramos has also written four fiction feature scripts: PUZZLE, UNDER THE GROUND, MOTHER OF THE MOON AND KARMA, all currently under financing and pre-production.
