BASES GENERALES
Podrán participar obras producidas entre enero de 2023 y diciembre de 2024. Cada obra deberá ser inscrita por una única persona responsable, quien actuará como contacto oficial entre el festival y el equipo de producción.
PROCESO DE SELECCIÓN
Las obras serán evaluadas por un comité presidido por la Dirección de Contenidos y Programación del festival.
La selección oficial considerará criterios de calidad en: dirección, guion, actuación, fotografía, sonido, dirección de arte, montaje y relevancia temática. Se priorizarán obras que aborden problemáticas sociales diversas y actuales.
Obras en idiomas distintos al español deberán incluir subtítulos incrustados o un archivo de subtítulos en español. De lo contrario, no serán elegibles para exhibición.
Solo las obras que cumplan con los requisitos establecidos pasarán a formar parte de la Selección Oficial del festival.
Los responsables de las obras seleccionadas serán notificados de manera confidencial por correo electrónico antes del anuncio oficial.
Una vez seleccionadas, las obras no podrán ser retiradas del festival bajo ninguna circunstancia.
ESPECIFICACIONES TÉCNICAS
Formato de entrega para visionado:
- Extensiones: .MOV o .MP4
- Códec de video: H264
- Tasa de bits mínima: 5 Mbps
- Códec de audio: AAC
- Resolución: 1920x1080 (Full HD)
Las películas deben enviarse mediante un enlace protegido con vigencia mínima de 6 meses.
Una vez seleccionadas, se requerirá una copia de exhibición en formato DCP o archivo digital, entregada en persona o por el método indicado.
Los DCP deberán estar abiertos y sin KDM, o los costos asociados serán asumidos por el responsable de la obra.
Las copias en DCP deberán estar abiertas y no poseer una codificación KDM. En caso contrario, la compañía productora cubrirá el costo de cada KDM.
Las copias no reclamadas en un plazo de 20 días laborables tras la clausura serán devueltas a la dirección registrada en el formulario de inscripción.
Las obras deberán conservar su relación de aspecto original y calidad técnica para garantizar una experiencia óptima de exhibición.
DATOS PARA EL CATÁLOGO
A los seleccionados se les solicitará la siguiente información:
- Ficha técnica completa.
- Recorrido en festivales (de aplicarse).
- Sinopsis (máximo 500 caracteres).
- Biofilmografía del director.
- Fotografía del director.
- Seis fotografías de la obra (fotogramas o stills).
- Lista de créditos técnicos y artísticos completos.
CONDICIONES DE PARTICIPACIÓN
Los participantes ceden los derechos de reproducción de sus obras al festival exclusivamente para fines promocionales o educativos durante el periodo del año correspondiente a la edición en la que participan, salvo oposición escrita. La autoría será reconocida en todo momento.
Los inscritos garantizan ser titulares de los derechos de autor de la obra y asumen la responsabilidad por cualquier infracción.
Se excluirán obras con contenido que fomente violencia, discriminación o mensajes de odio hacia cualquier grupo o individuo.
Las obras seleccionadas participarán en la Ruta de Distribución Local, un proyecto de cine itinerante que promueve el acceso cultural en diversas comunidades de Ecuador.
La tarifa de inscripción es no reembolsable. Se recomienda inscribir las obras con anticipación para evitar problemas técnicos.
La inscripción implica la aceptación total de estas bases y condiciones. Cualquier situación no contemplada será resuelta a criterio de la organización.
GENERAL GUIDELINES
Works produced between January 2023 and December 2024 are eligible to participate.
Each work must be submitted by a single individual, who will serve as the official liaison between the festival and the production team.
SELECTION PROCESS
All submissions will be evaluated by a committee led by the festival's Content Management and Programming Teams.
The official selection will take into account the following technical aspects: direction, screenplay, acting, cinematography, sound, art direction, editing, and thematic relevance. Works addressing diverse and contemporary social issues will be prioritized.
Works in languages other than Spanish must include embedded subtitles or a separate subtitle file in Spanish. Failure to comply will render the work ineligible for screening.
Only works meeting the outlined requirements will be included in the official selection.
Representatives of selected works will be notified confidentially via email before the official announcement.
Once selected, works cannot be withdrawn from the festival under any circumstances.

Films must be submitted via a password-protected link with a validity of at least six months.
Once selected, an exhibition copy must be provided in DCP or Digital format, delivered in person or via the specified method. DCPs must be open and unencrypted (KDM-free). Any KDM-related costs will be covered by the work's representative.
Exhibition copies not claimed within 20 business days after the festival's conclusion will be returned to the address listed in the submission form.
Works must retain their original aspect ratio and technical quality to ensure optimal viewing experience.
CATALOG INFORMATION
Selected participants will be required to provide the following details:
- Full technical sheet of the work.
- Festival history (if applicable).
- Synopsis (maximum 500 characters).
- Director's biofilmography, including year, city, and country of birth, as well as previous works (if applicable).
- A portrait photograph of the director.
- Six photographs of the work (stills or frames).
- Complete list of technical and artistic credits, including director, producers, screenwriter, cinematographer, production designer, editor, sound designer, and cast.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Participants grant the festival reproduction rights to their works exclusively for promotional or educational purposes during the year of the edition in which they are participating, unless otherwise stated in writing. Authorship will be acknowledged at all times.
Entrants guarantee they hold the moral and economic rights of the work and assume responsibility for any copyright infringement.
Works containing content that promotes violence, discrimination, or hatred against any group or individual will be excluded.
Selected works will be included in the Local Distribution Route, a traveling cinema initiative designed to promote cultural access across Ecuadorian communities.
The submission fee, where applicable, is non-refundable. Participants are encouraged to submit early to avoid technical issues.
Submitting a work implies full acceptance of these terms and conditions. Any unforeseen situations will be resolved at the discretion of the festival organizers.
