The distance during the LockDown due to Covid-19 forced us to rethink the criteria of research and production. With the support of common digital devices, we dialogue with the intent of collecting notes, useful materials for the realization of a live performance. Although we are aware of the limitations of our means, we still want to open the research that finds space in the digital world and, therefore, can be used through the audiovisual channel (Eva Grieco & Marco Colonna).
Eva Grieco was born in Rome in 1984. She is a dancer, author and actress active in the field of performing arts, cinema, poetry and education. Eva dances and curates the choreographic materials in performances, installations, and dance films. Since 1995 she has been a dancer/interpreter in various dance and theater companies, in Italy and abroad, and since 2015 she has been carrying on her own research as a dancer/author collaborating with various artists; musicians, choreographers, photographers, directors. She has performed in numerous theaters, museums and spaces, to name a few: Teatro dell'Opera in Rome, Teatro Argentina, Teatro India, Teatro Brancaccio; Ambra Jovinelli; Teatro Verdi in Pisa, Carré in Amsterdam, Dancens Hus in Stockholm, New Victory Theater in New York, GNAM Rome, MACRO Rome. She has been conducting physical workshops for dancers and non-dancers; in dance schools, prisons, refugee centers in Italy and in war zones. She won artistic residency for her performative projects “Danze per bestie selvatiche” and “Dans(e)lesVagues” hosted by Virgilio Sieni and Kinkaleri. In cinema she is co-star in the movies; Marianna Ucria by Roberto Faenza and Sole Cuore Amore by Daniele Vicari in which she is dancer and author of the dance scenes. In 1997 she was nominated for the David di Donatello and the Nastri d'Argento as best supporting actress for Marianna Ucria.
In 2020 Robin Edizioni published her debut poetry collection Danze per bestie selvatiche and she is nominated for the prize Premio inediTo Colline di Torino with her second poetry collection Rilassare i masticatori. Eva studied at Teatro dell’Opera di Roma and graduated at English National Ballet School of London with scholarship.
Marco Colonna, born in Rome in 1978, is active as a multi-instrumentalist, composer, improviser and writer but in more recent years he has chosen to devote himself to the bass clarinet to explore all the nuances of this instrument to which he associates the clarinet played at the same time. Solution that creates unprecedented harmonic and timbral effects. Marco Colonna joined Roberto Ottaviano's Eternal Love lineup by recording an album with Zeno De Rossi, Giovanni Maier and Alexander Hawkins, released by the Dodici Lune label. The group has received excellent critical acclaim and has been featured in several end-of-year charts both as an album and as an ensemble. He took part in Unit by Stefano Giust and Evan Parker, a concert and an album with the participation of Alberto Novello, Giorgio Pacorig, Martin Mayes, Patrizia Oliva and Michele Anelli, published by the Setola di Maiale label. In September 2019 he held a solo concert at the Basilica of San Gaudenzio in Novara during the European Jazz Conference event, followed by a tour in Africa.
In March 2020 "Fili" will be released, a new album for bass clarinet and electronics, dedicated to Maria Lai.
