Welcome to the England International Film Festival, formerly known as the White Deer International Film Festival. To celebrate our rebrand, along with an exciting festival in March 2025, we will be offering cash prizes for the first time!

A diverse panel of judges are involved in our festival and include award winning industry professionals. Films that enter our festival competition have a chance to win multiple IMDB-qualifying awards and for the first time we are introducing cash prizes.
PLEASE READ CAREFULLY BEFORE SUBMITTING YOUR ENTRY:
For the chance of winning the cash prize + live screening of your film enter the Best Film category. This is £500 prize awarded to the Best Film and £250 awarded to the Best North East film. Cash prizes will be paid directly to the submitter.
We also have a variety of technical and genre categories. Winners of these will receive a laurel and online screening as part of the festival annual event. PLEASE NOTE, winners of technical and genre categories will NOT be screened at our live event.

AWARD WINNER:
You will receive this notification if you have won one of our Best Film, Technical or Genre categories. Award winners will be screened online in the run up to the annual event. PLEASE NOTE! If you have won a Technical or Genre Category, you will NOT be screened at our in person annual event.
FINALIST:
You will receive this notification if you are one of the 10 Best Film Nominations. If you receive this, you WILL be screened at our annual event with a chance to win awards and the cash prize.
NOMINEE:
You will receive this notification if you are nominated for a technical or genre category. You have a chance of featuring on our online screening and a laurel for your category. PLEASE NOTE! If you are nominated for a Technical or Genre Category, you will NOT be screened at our in person annual event.
NOT SELECTED:
Unfortunately if you receive this notification, you have not won an award at our festival this time.
