Dvorit Shargal studied in 2 filming schools (Beith-Zvi, Tel-Aviv university). She is a journalist who formerly worked in Hadashot, Yedioth-Ahronot local edition, Maariv, National Geographic and more. She was an editor, a writer and a film critic.
From 2006-2015 she wrote a media criticism blog, "Velvet Underground".
In 2012 the blog won the media criticism award of "Israel's Media Watch".
In 2009 Dvorit participated with a short movie "Down Under Tel Aviv" in "Doc-Challenge" project.
From 2010 she develops independent documentary projects.
She completed a trilogy which includes:
-"Where is Elle-Kari and what happened to Noriko-San"
-"Africa!"
-"Where is Lilibet the Circus Child and What Happened in Honolulu?"
She also made a short film: "A shot in the back".
