​The Copenhagen Web Fest is an international film festival showcasing and connecting new talent in the web series and new media world. As the first web fest in Scandinavia, we are a connecting point for talent, industry, festivals and funding bodies to map out the digital future and developing young talent.

Established in 2017 and running its fourth edition in November 2021. We are passionate about innovative storytelling and diverse concepts that come from all parts of the Scandinavian and international film industry.

Rules & Terms

WEBSERIES RULES
*PLEASE NOTE* We only judge off of the episode submitted. If your project was submitted to our last edition you can still submit again with a different episode. We understand the process of making and distributing a web series can span over several years and we aim to support filmmakers working hard to get visibility, recognition, and networking opportunities.

Your web series must have at least 2 produced episodes to be considered a web series. (unless it is a pilot). If your web series has not been shown to the public please provide us with a link and password.

We accept new web series and any series produced from 2018 to present.

All webseries that are not in English language (including Danish webseries) must have English subtitles.

SCREENPLAY AWARD
We don't have a sole screenplay category. The screenplay award is determined from produced webseries in our official selection.

MOBILE PROJECT RULES
To be considered for the mobile award, you must have shot your project on any mobile phone or tablet. Maximum length: 20 minutes.

COPENHAGEN UNIVERSITY STUDENT RULES
Only for students enrolled or graduated from Copenhagen University (FREE ENTRY)
*Any production completed at Copenhagen University*
*Must send copy of student ID card*

GET TO THE POINT
For this category, any short film of max. 1 minute length is permitted.

    My experience in Copenhagen We Fest was one that is memorable and one if my best experiences during the pandemic. It is an intimate festival that values filmmakers and their films.

    During the festival run, I was able to join the talks and discussions which was diverse and interesting. It gave me a glimpse of the industry from over there in Copenhagen.

    There was this wonderful night of conversations with fellow filmmakers and festival organizers. It was one memorable night hearing everyone share their processes and their experiences.

    It was only the awards night which I didn't attend because the whole festival was already enough for me as it left me with a beautiful experience. The award was a genuine surprise (I should have attended the awards night to personally thank the jury and organziers) and it was such a delight. Instead of giving a speech, my team and I shot another microfilm which was exclusive only for Copenhagen Web Fest (I hope to share it with my network this May 25 in time for my birthday).
