Corujinha, International Childhood and Youth Festival takes place in the city of Balneário Camboriú, Santa Catarina – Brazil. It’s now opening submission for next edition, where debut and catalog films are accepted - feature, medium or short film / fiction or non-fiction, live action or animation.

National and international films can be submitted to the 11th edition that is scheduled to take place in 2025, where films offered must be directed for children's and youth. If selected films will de exhibited for free and open to general public, students of kindergarten, elementary and high school, in partnership with educational institutions, municipal and private.

The festival, recognized not only in the city or state, but nationally, aims to diversify the cultural offer for its target audience, children and adolescents, through its activities, which are mainly the free projection of children's and youth films.

A Corujinha, Festival Internacional Infantil e Juvenil da cidade de Balneário Camboriú, Santa Catarina – Brasil, abre as inscrições para sua próxima edição, onde são aceitos filmes inéditos e não-inéditos, de longa, média e curta-metragem, em live-action e animação.

Para a 11ª edição, que acontecerá em 2025, podem ser inscritos filmes nacionais e internacionais direcionados a público infantil e juvenil. Caso selecionado, os filmes serão exibidos em sessões gratuitas, abertas ao público geral e alunos do ensino infantil, fundamental e médio, em parceria com instituições de ensino municipais e privadas.

O festival, reconhecido não somente na cidade ou estado, mas sim nacionalmente, tem como objetivo diversificar a oferta cultural para o seu público-alvo, crianças e adolescentes, através de suas atividades que são principalmente a projeção gratuita de filmes infantis e juvenis.

Rules & Terms

Rules & Terms in English (para português leia abaixo)

01- For Debut, only films finished after January 2023 will be accepted;
02- Brazilian movies will be accepted even if they may have been screened in other Brazilian festivals;
03- Films need to be submitted in their original version;
04- Films in languages other than Portuguese must be subtitled or dubbed in Portuguese or English;
05- Late submission or film materials will not be accepted;
06- All submitted material for selection will not be returned;
07- In order to protect the interests of the filmmakers and the producers, all films submitted will be archived in the reference collections of FILMOTECA CORUJINHA for the sole purpose of onsite documentation and research, excluding any loan;
08- Selected films will be announced in the www.festivalbc.com;
09- All material of selected films will be used for promotional purpose (TV, site, others);
10- Programming is at the sole discretion of the curatorship of each festival section and their decision is final and irrevocable;
11- Each film may be screened during the festival according to grade definition and for festival itinerancy;
12- Films selected as première should preserve its status until official presentations at the festival;
13- No film selected may be withdrawn from the festival program after it's confirmation;
14- The responsible for submission must provide the dialog list in srt. and/or translation to Portuguese to the festival when asked for;
15- The festival will not confirm receipt of any application forms or material. Please do not send emails asking this confirmation;
16- Participation in the festival requires the unconditional adherence to it's regulations;
17- The festival only accepts projects that are in accordance with this regulations;
18- The submission to the festival confirms the agreement with all rules and conditions of the present regulation.

Regras e Termos em Português

01- Só serão considerados filmes em título de estréia quando finalizados a partir de Janeiro de 2023;
02- Filmes brasileiros serão aceitos mesmo que já tenham sido projetados em outros festivais;
03- Os filmes devem ser enviados em sua versão original;
04- Filmes não falados em português devem ser legendados ou dublados em português e/ou inglês;
05- Inscrições ou materiais enviados com atraso não serão aceitas;
06- Todo material enviado ao Festival não será devolvido;
07- Com o objetivo de proteger o interesse dos realizadores, todos os filmes inscritos serão arquivados na FILMOTECA CORUJINHA com o único propósito de documentação e pesquisa, não ficando disponível para empréstimos;
08- Os filmes selecionados serão divulgados no site www.festivalbc.com;
09- Todos os filmes selecionados terão trechos copiados para fins de divulgação (TV, site, e/ou outros meios);
10- A programação fica totalmente a critério dos curadores de cada sessão do festival e suas decisões são finais e irrevogáveis.
11- Cada filme selecionado poderá ser exibido pela organização do festival de acordo com a necessidade de grade e itinerancia realizadas;
12- Filmes inéditos selecionados deverão preservar seu status até a realização do festival;
13- Nenhum filme selecionado pode ser retirado da programação do festival após a confirmação de participação;
14- Em caso de seleção, o responsável deverá fornecer a lista de diálogos em formato .srt e/ou tradução para português quando solicitado;
15- O festival não confirmará o recebimento de nenhum material de inscrição e pedimos que por favor não envie e-mail solicitando a confirmação.
16- A inscrição só será aceita após o cumprimento das exigências previstas neste Regulamento;
17- Somente projetos inscritos de acordo e conforme este Regulamento serão considerados para a seleção do festival;
18- A inscrição no festival implica na aceitação das exigências previstas no presente regulamento.
