CinemAmbiente – Environmental Film Festival was born in 1998 with the aim of presenting out-standing environmental films that promote cinema and green awareness.
The Festival is organized by the National Cinema Museum - Maria Adriana Prolo Foundation, Turin – Italy.
CinemAmbiente is one of the most important environmental film festivals in the international scene.
Cinemambiente is the founder of the Green Film Network, the association of the world's major environmental film festivals.
CinemAmbiente program features over 100 selected films, screened in the competition categories, as well as in the special categories (Special Events, Panorama and a large section dedicated to the world of school).
Besides film screenings, the program includes debates, meetings with the authors, Q&A, exhibi-tions, book presentations, theatre and concerts, and events in and around Turin.
The 24th CinemAmbiente – Environmental Film Festival will be held in Turin from October 1st – 6th, 2021.
The deadline for all applications is July 31st, 2021.
Qualified juries, each composed of recognized figures in cinema, culture, and environmental activism appointed by the Festival’s Direction, will assign official prizes.
- Documentary Competition
All feature films selected will be considered for the following awards:
• CinemAmbiente Award for the Best Documentary (5,000 $ USD)
• Audience Award (1,500 $ USD)
- Short Film Competition
All short films selected will be considered for the following award:
• CinemAmbiente Award for the Best Short Film (1,500 $ USD)
- CinemAmbiente Junior Competition
This category includes short films made by students of Italian schools of all levels with a running time of 10 minutes or less.
All short films selected will be considered for the following awards:
• Cinemambiente Junior Award (Primary School, Middle School, High School)
Other Prizes or Special mentions will be announced during the Festival.
