  • Nostril Film

I'm late to write this review, but this was such a great festival. We were delighted to have our film Nostril included along with some other great animated shorts. Beautiful venue and hospitality. Communication with the programming team was excellent and the events they put together for the filmmakers made for a really valuable experience. Highly recommend submitting!

  • Cinema Columbus is Ohio’s premier film festival and one of the most promising up-and-comers in the U.S. With unmatched access to screenings across the city, it offers filmmakers rare opportunities for connection and exposure. Under director Brett’s visionary leadership, it’s no surprise the festival was named USA Today’s Best Film Festival in the country. Being selected this year was a major win for our team and a powerful validation of our work. This festival is on the rise—and one to watch.

There's a reason Cinema Columbus was voted #1 Best Film Festival in USA Today's Readers' Choice Awards in 2025 and it comes down to the amazing people running it and their incredible passion for independent cinema. From communication to programming and no small amount of consideration for the filmmakers; I can't remember a more impressive showing from a festival of this scale. To borrow from Gene Wilder's Wonka, "You're going to love this. Just love it."

I can confirm Brett's reputation for being an exceedingly warm, good dude that cares about the films he programs. Really enjoyed spending time with Brett and the other filmmakers! The events were fun, the venues were gorgeous (including the presentation/projection), the Q&A was thoughtful, and, as an Ohio boy, we really enjoyed screening our feature, Battersea, for what was its Ohio premiere.
