1. ELIGIBILITY (🇧🇷 Leia em português abaixo)
1.1. Works must have been completed on or after January 1, 2023.
1.2. All submitted works must incorporate generative artificial intelligence in the production process — for example, in the creation and/or animation of images, visual or sound effects, voices, or music. The works may be fully or partially made with AI, but AI must play a central role in the project, not just a minor or subtle one.
1.3. At least 50% of the visual content in the submitted film must consist of AI-generated imagery, whether entirely created by AI or using real footage that has been altered/transformed/texturized through AI.
1.4. Participants must indicate in the submission form which AI tools were used and include a brief description of how they were applied in the process. Example: “Tool A was used to create the character; Tool B was used to compose the soundtrack.”
1.5. The festival requires that all works be original and free of copyright infringement. Unethical use of AI, such as “deepfakes” of real people without consent, is strictly prohibited.
1.6. Minimum duration: 1 minute. Maximum duration: 10 minutes (including credits) for all categories.
1.7. Each participant may submit a maximum of one work per category among the three main categories:
- Fiction
- Non-Fiction
- Experimental
1.8. A separate submission and corresponding fee are required for each work/category. Note: the same work may not be submitted to more than one category.
1.9. Works must be submitted exclusively through our designated submission platforms and made available for screening on those same platforms. Physical submissions will not be accepted.
1.10. Works containing partisan political content, hate speech, sexual content, false information, or any kind of attack on individuals or groups will not be accepted.
1.11. CineAI Fest does not require exclusive premiere rights for submitted works.
2. SUBMISSION FORMAT
2.1. All submissions must be made via FilmFreeway.
2.2. Only widescreen formats such as 16:9 and 2.35:1 will be accepted. File formats: H.264 MP4 or MOV, with a minimum resolution of Full HD (1920x1080) and a maximum of 4K. Square or vertical videos will not be accepted.
2.3. Participants must ensure that all materials used (including AI-generated elements) comply with copyright, image, and intellectual property rights. It is the sole responsibility of the participant to guarantee that they hold all rights necessary for exhibition and distribution of the submitted work.
3. SUBMISSION PERIOD
3.1. The festival will have a single submission period, with a final deadline specified on the official FilmFreeway page.
3.2. Works submitted after the deadline will not be considered.
4. SELECTION
4.1. Selection will be conducted by a committee composed of audiovisual professionals and specialists in generative artificial intelligence.
4.2. Works selected for the online showcase will be announced on the festival’s website and social media.
4.3. Some selected works may be invited to participate in the in-person showcase and in panels or discussions.
4.4. The decisions of the selection committee (curation) and the CineAI Fest jury are final. Updates regarding submission status will be communicated exclusively through the submission platform, and it is the participant’s responsibility to monitor their submission.
4.5. CineAI Fest does not provide feedback on submitted works or jury decisions.
5. USAGE RIGHTS
By submitting a work, the participant authorizes:
5.1. Its screening during the festival, both in the online showcase and the in-person event (if selected).
5.2. The use of excerpts and promotional materials for event promotion.
5.3. The inclusion of images and descriptions in publications, social media, and official materials.
5.4. All copyright remains with the author, and any use beyond the festival requires prior agreement.
5.5. CineAI Fest does not pay screening fees or travel expenses.
5.6. CineAI Fest may use photos, trailers, posters, or press kit materials for promotional purposes, adapting them to the festival’s visual identity.
5.7. Filmmakers must obtain all necessary permissions and rights for the content, including but not limited to music and talent participation.
5.8. CineAI Fest is not responsible for copyright violations or unauthorized use of any content.
5.9. By submitting a work, the participant agrees to release and indemnify CineAI Fest from any claims, liabilities, losses, damages, or expenses (including attorney’s fees) arising from disputes related to copyright, trademarks, credits, publicity, exhibition, or damage to exhibition materials.
5.10. CineAI Fest reserves the right to modify the festival’s structure or format without prior notice, if necessary.
6. SUBMISSION FEES
6.1. Fees will be announced on the FilmFreeway page and are non-refundable.
6.2. CineAI Fest does not offer fee waivers or free submissions.

1.1. As obras devem ter sido concluídas em ou após 1º de janeiro de 2023.
1.2. Todas as obras inscritas devem incorporar inteligência artificial generativa no processo de produção, como por exemplo na criação e/ou animação de imagens, efeitos visuais ou sonoros, vozes e música. As obras podem ser totalmente feitas com IA ou apenas parcialmente, mas é importante que a IA desempenhe um papel central na obra, não apenas pontual ou sutil.
1.3. Pelo menos 50% do conteúdo visual do filme inscrito deve obrigatoriamente ser composto por imagens geradas por IA, seja com gerações 100% originadas em IA ou com o uso de imagens reais que foram alteradas/transformadas/texturizadas com IA.
1.4 Os participantes devem obrigatoriamente informar, no formulário de inscrição, quais ferramentas de IA foram usadas e incluir uma breve descrição de como elas foram aplicadas no processo. Exemplo: “Ferramenta A foi utilizada para criação do personagem; ferramenta B foi usada para criação da trilha sonora”.
1.5 O festival exige que o trabalho seja original e não infrinja direitos autorais. É proibido o uso antiético de IA, como para “deepfakes” de pessoas reais sem consentimento.
1.6. Duração mínima: 1 minuto. Duração máxima: 10 minutos (incluindo créditos) para todas as categorias.
1.7. Cada participante poderá inscrever no máximo uma obra em cada uma das três categorias principais, sendo elas:
-Ficção
-Não Ficção
-Experimental
1.8. Para cada obra/categoria, é preciso realizar uma inscrição e pagar a respectiva taxa de submissão. Obs.: não é permitido inscrever a mesma obra em mais de uma categoria.
1.9. As obras devem ser enviadas exclusivamente por meio de nossas plataformas de inscrição e disponibilizados para exibição nessas mesmas plataformas. Não aceitamos envios físicos.
1.10. Não serão admitidas obras com teor político partidário, discursos de ódio, conteúdo sexual, notícias falsas ou qualquer teor de ataque a qualquer grupo.
1.11. O CineAI Fest não exige direitos de estreia exclusivos para as obras inscritas.
2. FORMATO DE INSCRIÇÃO
2.1. Todas as inscrições devem ser feitas via FilmFreeway.
2.2. Serão aceitos apenas formatos de widescreen, como 16:9 e 2,35:1. Formatos de arquivo: H.264 MP4 ou MOV, em resolução mínima Full HD (1920x1080) e máxima 4K. Não serão aceitas obras em formato quadrado ou vertical.
2.3. Os participantes devem garantir que todos os materiais utilizados (incluindo elementos gerados por IA) estejam em conformidade com direitos autorais, de imagem e de propriedade intelectual. É de total responsabilidade do participante garantir que possua os direitos autorais e de exibição da obra inscrita.
3. PERÍODO DE INSCRIÇÃO
3.1. O festival terá um único período de inscrição, com prazo final especificado na página oficial do FilmFreeway.
3.2. Obras enviadas após o prazo não serão consideradas.
4. SELEÇÃO
4.1. A seleção será realizada por um comitê composto por profissionais do audiovisual e especialistas em inteligência audiovisual generativa.
4.2. As obras selecionadas para a mostra online serão anunciados no site e nas redes sociais do festival.
4.3. Algumas obras selecionados poderão ser convidados para a mostra presencial e participação em painéis e debates.
4.4. As decisões do comitê de seleção (curadoria) e do júri do CineAI Fest são finais. As atualizações sobre o status da inscrição serão divulgadas exclusivamente pelas plataformas de submissão, sendo responsabilidade do participante acompanhar sua inscrição.
4.5. O CineAI Fest não fornece feedback sobre obras inscritas nem sobre as decisões do júri.
5. DIREITOS DE USO
Ao inscrever uma obra, o participante autoriza:
5.1. A exibição durante o festival, tanto na mostra online quanto na mostra presencial (se selecionado).
5.2. O uso de trechos e materiais promocionais para divulgação do evento.
5.3. A inclusão de imagens e descrições em publicações, redes sociais e materiais oficiais.
5.4. Todos os direitos autorais permanecem com o autor, e qualquer uso além do festival requer acordo prévio.
5.5. O CineAI Fest não paga taxas de exibição nem despesas de viagem.
5.6. O CineAI Fest pode utilizar fotos, trailers, cartazes ou materiais de press kit para fins promocionais, adaptando-os à identidade visual do festival.
5.7. Os realizadores devem obter todas as autorizações e direitos necessários para o conteúdo, incluindo, mas não se limitando, a música e participação de talentos.
5.8. O CineAI Fest não se responsabiliza por violações de direitos autorais ou uso não autorizado de qualquer conteúdo.
5.9. Ao inscrever uma obra, o participante concorda em isentar e indenizar o CineAI Fest de quaisquer reivindicações, responsabilidades, perdas, danos ou despesas (incluindo honorários advocatícios) decorrentes de disputas relacionadas a direitos autorais, marcas registradas, créditos, publicidade, exibição ou danos a materiais de exibição.
5.10. O CineAI Fest se reserva o direito de alterar a configuração do festival sem aviso prévio, se necessário.
6. TAXAS DE INSCRIÇÃO
6.1. As taxas serão anunciadas na página do FilmFreeway e não são reembolsáveis.
6.2. O CineAI Fest não oferece isenção de taxas ou inscrições gratuitas.
