Chloe Rae Wang has an innate passion for storytelling. Born to a Korean mother and a Taiwanese father, she was exposed to a great range of cultural cinema throughout her upbringing. The fusion of her background in creative writing and her interest in film was what ultimately drew her towards writing for the screen.
Her work consists primarily of scripts, creative essays, and poems, many of which have been internationally awarded. Since placing in the National Council of Teachers of English (NCTE), her screenplay won “Best Student Feature” at the 2024 New York International Film Awards (NYIFA). Notably, her first script was a Finalist at the National Film Festival for Talented Youth (NFFTY). Having completed Iowa’s Young Writers’ Studio and the creative writing program at Emerson College, she is familiar with the study of storytelling beyond a high school setting. She most recently completed a feature-length screenplay at the University of Southern California.
Aside from writing, she often explores hobbies that pique her interest, such as scrapbooking, rock climbing, and playing the guitar. On a good day, you will see her at a local rink, doing laps on roller skates or trying her hand at ice hockey. You can reach out to her via her Instagram @chloeraewrites.
