Chicago Indie Film Awards is a monthly and an annual festival which takes place at the Doc Films of the University of Chicago theater every spring. The festival celebrates Independent U.S. and international films of all genres.
The festival has a monthly online competition which selects, promotes, awards and publicizes shorts and features of all genres on social media and various media outlets in the film industry.
The festival supports with further marketing and distribution of shorts and features and providing the right tools for the official selections and the award winners to succeed.
The festival is dedicated to indie cinema and selects shorts and features from all over the world.
The members of the jury are filmmakers and artists based in Chicago, New York, Boston, Toronto, Vancouver and Los Angeles.

Once a film is selected for our annual event, it can not be withdrawn.
Films can be available online and still enter the competition for our monthly festival.
Multiple submissions and multiple category submissions are accepted.
Films must have been produced within the past 36 months.
Features must be over 50 minutes.
Shorts must be less than 50 minutes.
Chicago Indie Film Awards can use stills and trailers to promote films.
