Charlie Garcia Vitug is a 21-year-old producer, screenwriter, and film critic based in Metro Manila. She is a graduating student and Magna Cum Laude Candidate of De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde, where she studied Bachelor of Arts in Film with Specialization in Writing and served as the President of Benildean Film Works. In 2024, she founded Charlie Vitug Productions, a production company specializing in advertisements and films.
Since January 2024, she has been writing reviews for SINEGANG.ph, a leading film publication in the Philippines. From June to August 2024, she took her internship at ABS-CBN Film Productions, writing for their Advertisement and Promotions Department. In 2021, she was the sole freshman intern for BenildeFilm.
Vitug is most known for her films Ballad of a Blind Man, Through the Viewfinder, Love Again, and Romuelda. Ballad of a Blind Man, her most recent film, was a Finalist at The Manila Film Festival 2024 and was awarded a production grant of PHP 150,000 by the City of Manila. Love Again, a musical she directed and produced, screened in cities such as New York, Sydney, Melbourne, Manila, and Cebu. Romuelda, her debut short film, was a political satire that won Best Screenplay at the Hong Kong Super Short Film Festival 2022.
