For the past decade or more since finishing college, I have been working very hard to create unique original music, and along the way have developed a distinguished brand of content on my popular YouTube channel, comprising niche documentaries, insightful tutorials and eclectic original music videos, promoting my skills towards establishing a dream career as an artist in the music industry.
In doing so, I inadvertently discovered that I have a talent for video editing and filmmaking; not only from the research, and creative writing angle - as demonstrated in my documentaries - but also that of motion illustration and graphic design, shown in my video ‘reconstructions’ of music performances that were never filmed, based on photographs of the events, and my detailed knowledge of performance and equipment.
My independently produced & narrated 2021 documentary film, ‘Foundation Velvet: The Drumming Of Maureen ‘Moe’ Tucker’ has had over 198,000 views, and increased my channel subscriptions & traffic immensely, aided also by the several short-form tutorial & cover videos I have made since, such as ‘Sister Ray’ - a video reconstruction of a 1967-era Velvet Underground performance of the song at the famous Boston Tea Party venue, by using a backdrop collage made from several period photos of the stage, as well as authentic music equipment, stage presentation, lighting effects, and intense Andy Warhol-style zooming & panning: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-L78zhtG1ow
