Boris Amado, is a Writer/Poet born in Guatemala City, Guatemala, on the celebrated "Dia De Los Muertos", November 2nd 1974. To escape the brutal Central American civil war of the 1970-80s, Boris's family relocated to Hollywood California, where he and his older brother David, were raised by their single mother, Maria Dora Amado (1938-2016), who was daughter of, Guatemalan military general "General, Paco Francisco, Amado, De Puertas" (1874-1942). Boris currently lives in San Diego with his wife artist, DeeDee Reed (creator of The Orphaned Bears Project & Rabid Varmints) and son, Andrew Amado.
