Welcome to the IMDb qualifying Berlin Movie Awards. We're a monthly competition and a festival with an annual award event. We seek to recognize and promote the best film and script projects from all over the world.

Our festival has awarded Cannes winning directors such as Warwick Thorton in competition with emerging indie talents from all over the world. The festival is a true filmmakers festival by a team of filmmakers dedicated to the language of cinema and arts.

Berlin has been known as an important center of filmmaking and the contributions of German cinema can not be denied in the history of cinema. Berlin Movie Awards attempts to provide spaces for independent filmmakers to create and display their stories without commercial pressure, in order to discover and celebrate extraordinary films and develop independent filmmaking.

Every month, our jury will award the best independent film and script projects. We will promote and award film projects and also provide honorable mentions for filmmakers who may not necessarily win but who should be acknowledged for their work because of their talents and the importance of their independent projects.

The festival stands with independent cinema and promotes arthouse film projects of all genres in various categories of the competition. The monthly virtual festival provides the best tools for all independent artists to be further promoted and recognized for their talents.

We are seeking features, shorts and scripts of all genres for the Berlin Movie Awards. It is important to recognize independent movies and artists who have dedicated their life to making arthouse film projects.

It was an honor to have my film "The Dance" and my screenplay "Tic-Tac-Toe" as an official selection for Berlin Movie Awards. One of my friends won best actress there and I can attest she is great so Berlin know what they are doing.
