Ben Judkins is an award-winning filmmaker, having won “Best Locally-Produced Work” at the 2017 Santa Cruz Film Festival for his short film "Marshall". He also received the Dean’s Award for "Marshall" from the University of California, Santa Cruz, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Film and Digital Media. He worked as a Water Cinematographer and AC for the Emmy Award-winning PBS series "The Mind of a Chef", and has created numerous surfing videos and documentary shorts for a wide range of clients including Adventure Sports Network, Men’s Journal, Monster Energy, Red Bull Media, Save the Waves Coalition, SmartWool, and Stab Magazine. Ben’s current project, "The Cigarette Surfboard", is his feature-length documentary directorial debut.
