The fourth edition of Bedechka Film Fest is back, searching for short films that tell inspirational stories! Submit your short film until 24 May 2026!

Theme for 2026: Peace

Peace is the fruit of constructive efforts and the evolution of thought - the realization that a peaceful life allows one to relax the instinct for self-preservation and explore their nature in many more dimensions, including through the world of art.

The 2026 edition of the festival is looking for projects related to peace - as your creative self sees and expresses it. Whether it is peace between nations, peace between generations, peace between differences, peace between two people, or peace between human and nature - we look forward to seeing your interpretation and artistic signature, so that together we can create a world of art guided by empathy, tolerance, and love.

About the Festival
Bedechka Film Fest takes place outdoors in the Hidden Meadow location of Bedechka Park, Stara Zagora, Bulgaria, on June 21, 2026. Nestled by the Bedechka River and surrounded by a lush forest, this magical setting is the perfect place to connect with nature and immerse yourself in cinematic storytelling.

Bedechka Film Fest is part of the eco-art festival “Na Zeleno” / “Code Green.” The festival raises awareness about the park’s unique habitat and the importance of its preservation, advocating against its transformation into an urban district. By bringing people together through film, we believe we can inspire collective action for this vital cause.
