As a first time filmmaker I needed a lot of hand-holding and Ellen was there for me every step of the way. And the digital team did a great job of cross-promoting on social media. A lot of my friends had difficulty figuring out how to purchase tickets, access the film and vote so those interfaces could be improved. But the community, encouragement and support were excellent. Thank you all!

  • What a wonderful festival to be a part of! In this challenging year, they still managed to recreate some of the festival atmosphere by organizing virtual Q&As, networking, and even a BAAFF trivia night. There was a warm sense of community even with us all scattered around the country. I feel like I got to know the organizers and some of the other filmmakers - I can only imagine how fun it would've been in person! Thanks for everything!
