Films that are chosen will be announced in ASIFA-Hollywood's e-newsletters, as well as have the option to be featured on ASIFA-Hollywood's social media accounts.

The selected filmmaker will also receive a 1 year free associate membership, or if already an ASIFA-Hollywood member, receive a free 1 year renewal of their current membership. For details about ASIFA-Hollywood's membership benefits, please visit https://www.asifa-hollywood.org/membership/

Rules & Terms

Short and student films must be animated and under 45 minutes in length.

ASIFA-Hollywood will accept films on a rolling basis (the deadline listed on its FilmFreeway page is the final deadline for this year). One film will be selected per month; each selected film will be announced within ASIFA-Hollywood's weekly e-newsletter and social media during the following month. Filmmakers of unselected films do not need to submit more than once a year, as films submitted in prior months will be reconsidered each month.

Films submitted may qualify for Annie Award consideration (https://www.annieawards.org/). An Animated Short Film of the Month selection does not constitute or imply an ASIFA-Hollywood or Annie Awards recommendation or endorsement.
