The festival showcases animations and films in all genres by young emerging animators and filmmakers. It is open to students enrolled in accredited NY State 2-year colleges and high schools.

Submissions are due Friday, February 10th, 2023 @ 11:59 PM via FilmFreeway. The schedule will be posted on February 20th, 2023.

Festival Date: Thursday, March 2, 6 pm est, 2023 @ Alfred State and online via Eventive.

The films will also be exhibited in the Brett Llewellen Gallery at Alfred State College during the week following the festival. There will be awards for the best animated short, best documentary, best short film, best experimental, and the audience choice. The awards will be announced at the end of the screening.

Rules & Terms

Acceptable submissions are limited to student productions that are produced, written, directed, planned, and technically executed entirely by HS and 2-year college students in NY State.

Total running time, including credits, must be no longer than 10 minutes.

Individuals may enter as many productions as they wish.

Entrants are encouraged to create productions that consist entirely of original material, including music, graphics, visuals, etc.
