ANIDOX:VR Award
ANIDOX and Viborg Animation Festival, have initiated a new award scheme – ANIDOX:VR Award, which distinctively addresses factual and visual storytelling in emerging media/VR.
Awards include a cash prize and a residency grant for development of new works.
The ANIDOX:VR Awards are showcased as part of the 8th Viborg Animation Festival 21 – 27 September 2020 Viborg, Denmark. The award will be announced during ANIDOX Day on the 24 September 2020, which will include talks, panel discussions and special screenings

GENERAL GUIDELINES
The ANIDOX:VR Award competition is open to all original works, immersive and/or interactive VR experiences which can be justified as an animated documentary.
Submissions are opened to all works completed in 2019 and 2020.
The devices that may be used to watch the experience: HTC Vive, Oculus (Rift or Quest), or Playstation VR. Only playable builds are accepted.
An international jury will award prizes recognising the best works in the competition.

ANIDOX is a platform focused on animated documentary projects, and is part of The Animation Workshop / VIA University College, in partnership with the Danish Film Institute, the Swedish Film institute, CPH:DOX, Nordisk Panorama, the Norwegian Viken centre and Documentary Campus.
We bring together documentary creatives, directors, producers and animation professionals as well as artists working in cross media, hybrid forms and new technologies; with a focus on collaborative process, matchmaking, reaching audiences and new frameworks. Leading Masterclasses, a residency programme, professional training and a production and development scheme, ANIDOX is run by acclaimed practitioners in the field and continues to evolve and advance the genre of Documentary animation.
• The ANIDOX:VR Award competition is open to all immersive and/or interactive VR experiences which can be justified as an Animated Documentary, regardless hardware or theme.
• Submissions are opened to all works completed not before 2019.
• A jury made up of a number of international industry professionals from the fields of XR,
cinema and the arts will evaluate the experiences that have been selected.
• The jury will award prizes recognising the best immersive and/or interactive works in the
competition, for their contribution to innovative storytelling and production.
