André Di Mauro has a multidisciplinary background that includes work as a director, writer, film editor, producer and actor. He has been working in the audiovisual area since the early 1990s. He was the creator of the first Cinema University of the City of Rio de Janeiro where he worked as Academic Director for ten years. DiMauro directed several short films and independent projects for television. In 2018 he debuted his first feature film as director Humberto Mauro who made his world premiere at the 75th Venice International Film Festival within the official selection where he was nominated for the Best Documentary Film Award. The film has won prizes and participated in major national and international festivals such as the 51st Brasilia Festival of Brazilian Cinema, 42nd São Paulo International Film Festival, 20º Rio Film Festival, 40º Festival Internacional del Nuevo Cine Latinoamerican, 15th Play-Doc International Documentary Film Festival (Spain - 2019) where he won the Best Film Award, 48th International Film Festival Rotterdam (Holland - 2019) and many other important film festivals.
