Born in Puerto Rico, Ana Soler has been acting on both stage and screen for more than 20 years. She has a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Emerson College in Boston. She moved to New York City in pursuit of a professional acting career and joined the Spanish Repertory Theater in 1992.
Four years later, her work took her to Colombia, where she has had a prolific career in film, theater and television. Her filmography includes: “Posición Viciada” (1997), “Sin Amparo” (2002), “Bolívar Soy Yo” (2002), “La Otra Familia” (2011) and “Mariposas Verdes” (2017).
In 2013, she founded - CIELO RASO PRODUCCIONES – a film, TV and media production company.
Her first film, “El Ascenso”, was part of the Official Selection at the Holly Shorts Film Festival and NYC Independent Film Festival; as well as, the Short Film Corner at Cannes Film Festival and the Panorama Nacional section at the Bogota Short Film Festival in 2015.
“El Ocaso del Alba” is her second film as producer /director and its World Premiere is scheduled for the second half of 2017.
She is soon to film her third short - “Una noche con Papá” - and is currently working in the development of a web series and a feature screenplay.
