Amr Samir – Egyptian director
Born in Giza governorate.egypt in 1988 , graduated from Cairo university ,faculty of commerce in 2014 .in 2007 he joined the university theater and from here he began his artistic career . Spent 10 years in the university theater when he was undergraduate and after graduation also.
He worked as an actor,assistant director , executive director, director , and directing many theatrical productions , the most important of which are ( monamnamat tarikhyea 2012 ) and ( charlie Chaplin -2017 ) .
He also participated as an assistant director in several plays that where shown in international festivals abroad such as ( hamlet ) and ( braxa) in 2012.
In addition to his work as an executive director in the plays ( the black monk- 2014 ) and ( narration of an unknown man- 2016 ) which were shown at the French theater festival in Cairo .
After that he joined the( filmmaking workshop )at studio zat , with director mohamed nader , during the workshop he had some projects for short films with limited budget , which were for training projects.then he made two short films using the phone camera (when I wake up ) and ( 3 minutes) .
In 2018 he worked as an assistant director on graduation projects for students in the acting for camera workshop with the director ( Sarah warren) .
Since 2018 he has worked as an executive director with actor and director ashraf abd elbakey in his plays .
Between 2017 and 2020 he had some participation in cinematic and television works whether he was an actor , assistant director, assistant casting director or executive producer.
