Alberto Baroni is an independent filmmaker. He makes documentaries, web-docs and advertisings working as director, cameraman, editor and post-production manager. He works for the CTU (University Television Department) at Milan's University, taking part in the making of documentaries and spots for the University. In 2015 he made his first short film, "Impero" ("Kingdom"). In 2017 his short film "Carro" ("Chariot") was shown at Filmmaker Festival (Milan) in the "Prospettive" section. In 2018 "Carro" ("Chariot") won the prize for Best Photography (Alberto Baroni) at ValdarnoCinema Film Festival. In the same year, his work "Efeso" ("Ephesus") was shown at Filmmaker Festival and in many other festivals during 2018/2019. “Efeso” won the prize for Best Movie at Brianza Short Film Festival. In 2019 “LE - TOI - ILE” was in the official selection of Filmmaker Festival, and in 2020 the movie won the prize for Best Sound Design (Alberto Baroni) at Hermetic International Film Festival. In 2020 "Temperance" was presented at Filmmaker Festival, and later shown in other festivals during 2021; "Temperance" was included by film critic Luigi Abiusi in his list of the best films of 2020 published in "Alias" (Il Manifesto).
Since 2018, he writes for the online film magazine "Gli Spietati".
