After gaining valuable production skills in the corporate world, Lana set her sights on acting and earned her MA at Arts Educational School London in her 30s. She promptly moved to Los Angeles and added a few professional credits to her resume at a time that was not very inclusive. Five years later, she moved to Charlottesville VA, where she started an acting school. While producing numerous plays for her students, she produced and directed her first short film, Old Soul and a TV talk show that she also hosted called What’s Going On C’ville.
After moving to New York City in 2014 to pick up where she left off in LA, she co-produced a creative concept called NovelSongs, that has had live and virtual success. Some of her recent acting credits include recurring roles in The Resident, Ambitions, Tell Me a Story, The Vampire Diaries, Greenleaf and guest-star roles in WandaVision, Lisey’s Story and BULL, to name just a few. In film, Lana has been honored to work with some of the greats in Beginners, Southpaw, The Girl on the Train and most recently in Tyler Perry’s period drama, A Jazzman’s Blues, out on Netflix in 2022. Now she has reached the
place she has always dreamed of; writing and producing her own series to star in.
