My name is Aaron Matthew Kaiser and I am a twenty year veteran of the entertainment industry with a passion to tell engaging stories. I have served in a variety of above-the-line positions with a focus on directing, writing, and producing. My experience spans over projects ranging from commercials and promo pieces to short films and web series. I am currently getting ready to make my first feature film.
Some of my highlights include: Producing the 2004 short film Three Lives, starring Doug Jones, which won Best Film of San Diego in the 48 Hour Film Project; Directing the 2007 music video “Give It Up”, winner of the Christine Evans’ (Warner Music Canada) Dailymotion music video competition; Producing three spec commercials for the 2009 Doritos “Crash the Super Bowl” competition, one of which was a top-five finalist and aired nationally and another of which was selected by Frito Lay to represent them in the MOFILM competition in the Cannes Ad Lions Festival; Directing the 2018 short film Simon during the AT&T Create-a-thon, where it placed first runner-up.
I believe that community is one of the greatest aspects of filmmaking and I continuously look for ways to give back and involve others.
In 2005, I co-founded San Diego Filmmakers, an educational networking organization, and served as Vice President and Emcee until 2012. I have volunteered at the San Diego Film Festival, Creative Talent Network Animation Expo, Burbank Film Festival, and others. I began volunteering with The Valley Film Festival in 2009 and became their Manager of Alumni Relations and Filmmaker Liaison in 2019. Since 2012, I have co-hosted annual networking gatherings in Los Angeles titled The Networking Party.
