Zhichao Zhu is a filmmaker, visual artist, and scholar based between Shanghai and Hamburg. Working across film, video, and digital media, his practice explores how personal memory and social change shape modes of seeing and subjectivation. His works have been shown internationally, and he also contributes to film programming initiatives. He is currently pursuing his doctoral studies at the Hamburg University of Fine Arts (HFBK).
