Zhang Xiquan is an acclaimed Chinese documentary filmmaker currently with China Media Group (CMG). Holding a master’s degree in Journalism from the Communication University of China, he has dedicated two decades to creating films centered on sports, dance, and arts education.
His distinguished works include Beneath the Surface (of Ice) and Tuva Youngster - Yong Deng. The former, chronicling Olympic figure skating champion Sui Wenjing’s journey, won the Honor Award in the Olympic category at the 2023 FICTS Milan International Sports Film Festival. His latest documentary, Starlet’s Journey , explores cultural exchange and youth globalization through the lens of Paris 2024 Olympic volunteers and is currently featured in international film festival competitions.
