Zeki was born in Turkey, Izmit. He started his education in Cinema and Television in the Turkey and completed it in the UK. He graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts, Cinema and Television at the Canakkale 18 Mart University. Currently he continues his sociology education as a second major. He studied media studies at the popular Bahiya Television in Spain with the Leonardo project. He also took photography educations in London.
During his career he was able to get into topics and areas which were never touched in turkish documentary. The Omo Valley tribal life, the Madagascar ded-turning ritual and the Pakistani iguana oil sellers are a couple of those extraordinary projects to mention. He won the MoonLife Award with the best certificate of the year. Zeki continously presents topics showing new perspectives to undiscovered and maybe even misunderstood cultures of the world. His work contributes to the communication and understanding among human beings on our planet.
Zeki is not only firm in documentary (more than 30 countries till now), but also in commercials and promotinal films, as well as cinema film projects. His work is supported also by the Turkish Ministry of Culture.
